Kiera began her life as an Aisling during the Atavism Age III. She was quickly
welcomed into the family Meatha, by Toshi and Ulanda who adopted her as
their daughter. Later, she would meet her adopted brother, Sarc, who would
prove to be a good friend for many, many Deochs. She followed the path of
the Monk, dedicating her life to fighting dubhaimid and finding the peace
within her own heart.

Kiera was first born in Danaan 3278, in the small village of Piet. There,
she lived a mostly normaly life.. until she discovered her ability to leave
her body at will. She kept this a secret from all, but practiced it often
and learned to commune with nature spirits all around her. In Danaan 3289
the elders of the village agreed to allow her to study the ways of the Aislings,
as she showed a keen interest in the subject. The same day that this was
decided, a mysterious young man named Brandubh came into Kiera's life. The two began courting, and Kiera found herself facinated by him, as he was an Aisling Priest. She had no idea of the darkness that lay beneath his kind exterior... (See full story, as submitted to Dark Ages: "Dark Destiny" ) |

Brandubh disappeared from her life, and Kiera found herself waking in Mileth,
the spark of the Aisling within her. As she began her new life, she befriended
a young Wizard named Rhiamon, and fell in love with a Warrior named Crypticus.
They soon married, and in Deoch 6 they had a daughter, Kaetlyn. Fearing the
dangers of life as an Aisling, Kiera sent her daughter to Piet to be raised
by her grandparents. |

Kiera continued her life as an Aisling, forever bound to the fight against
the Darkness, even after her beloved Crypticus vanished from her life. She
made more wonderful friends, and was even delightfully surprised when her
baby sister, Nixie, felt the call and became an Aisling Rogue! Kiera's good
friend, Rhiamon, married into her family as she fell in love with a wonderful
man, Paladine, and all seemed to be going well in their world. She had no
idea of the Darkness that was brewing beneath the surface... Although still bound to her task to fight the Darkness, sometime around Deoch 10, Kiera felt a strong desire to return to Piet and raise her daughter, who was then 4. Leaving the world of Aislings behind, Kiera shifted gears to take over the raising of her daughter. However, in Deoch 18 she vanished from her daughter's life. The Darkness that had claimed her so many years ago, when the young Priest Brandubh went behind her back, had finally began to work on Kiera and it lured her away from her family. Feeling she had to protect them, she left them in Piet and disappeared into the lands to fight the Darkness alone... ...The battle was long and hard, a tale to be told another time. Her secret power, to leave her body at will, saved her soul as she escaped her body at the last moment, as it was devoured by beasts, completely destroyed. Her legend, her history, all was lost as Kiera found herself trapped in the realm between life and death, unable to go either way... ...In Deoch 37, after many years like this, a stretch of time she was unable to calculate or even know, Kiera was mysteriously restored. Black Magicks were performed, and she was sent into the body of a young peasant girl who had just died of fever. The body was restored, and Kiera found herself lost and confused, suddenly thrown into the life of a fourteen year old girl named Deylea. She remembered all about her life, about who she was, and when she discovered which Deoch it was, she was shocked to discover that she should have been 51 years old! Such time had passed... Kiera settled into life as a peasant, always wondering where her family was.. where her daughter was.. and hoping to one day get the chance to find them again. In Deoch 40, this day came as she awoke in Riona's Inn, an Aisling again. However, as happens with all who first awaken, she no longer remembers what has happened to her.. fragmented memories haunt her, and she knows something is very wrong, but it will take time to restore a lifetime of memories... |

Kiera's daughter, Kaetlyn, grew up in her mother's absence and found herself
waking in Mileth in Deoch 20. She followed the path of the Priest, until
she fell in love with a mundane named Nathan Buidseachd, a decendent of Rhiamon's
family, and settled down with him to have a family. That family was two young girls, Fionnuala and Alyson. In Deoch 39, both girls awoke in Mileth as Aislings, Fionnuala at 17, and Alyson at 15. Fionnuala idolized her grandmother, Kiera, and followed her path as a Monk. Alyson dedicated herself to the path of the Wizard, like their Aunt Rhiamon. When Kiera meets her granddaughters.. there's no telling what will happen as they tell her about her past and possibly help to restore her lost memories... |
